Ellie McKay has been re-elected to North Down Borough Council after serving for more than 25 years as a Holywood Councillor.

Ellie has been a member of the Ulster Unionist Party for over 35 years, she is a member of the Ulster Unionist Council.

Ellie has been chair of North Down Borough Council’s corporate committee for the past six years, which saw her involved in setting the lowest rates increase in any council in Northern Ireland. Ensuring value for money for ratepayers is one of her driving aims.

Ellie is a member of North Down District Policing Partnership, North Down Safer Streets, North Down Local Strategy Partnership and Holywood Citizens Advice Bureau.

She is a governor of Holywood Primary and Nursery Schools.

A retired retailer, Ellie is a full time councillor. In addition to politics she is a keen follower of lawn tennis and showjumping.
